Thunderbird Resorts is lead by a diverse, talented and dynamic team that is multilingual and multinational.

Jack Mitchell, President, CEO and Director

Jack Mitchell has over 20 years of business experience.  Since 1997, Mr. Mitchell has led Thunderbird Resorts into its successful Latin American-focused business model from the California-based operations. Mr. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri in 1978, his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1981, and his LLM in Taxation from the University Of San Diego School Of Law in 1989. Mr. Mitchell was admitted to the California bar in 1986, and in 1988 was a founder of LaRocque, Wilson, Mitchell & Skola (a law practice in real estate and gaming).

When Jack Mitchell assumed the role of CEO in 1997 Thunderbird was a startup company with limited U.S. operations. Today it has 24 international operations in five countries. Currently, there are seven casino hotel projects in Chile that are pending Company bids.  With the leadership of Mr. Mitchell and his management team, Thunderbird is currently opening a new casino every 4 months in International markets.

Albert Atallah, General Counsel, Vice-President and Director

Mr. Atallah is largely responsible for the day-to-day administration of Thunderbird’s U.S. headquarters and is engaged in all aspects of Thunderbird's business, from regulatory issues to international business to financial planning.  He brings over 20 years of business and legal experience to Thunderbird Resorts. 

Albert Atallah is admitted to the California and Michigan bars and the U.S. District Courts of California and Michigan; the U.S. Tax Court; and the U.S. Supreme Court.  He received a B.B.A. in 1978 from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctorate in 1981 from the University Of Detroit School Of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation in 1989 from the University Of San Diego School Of Law. Mr. Atallah is a tax specialist certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization.

Michael Fox, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Fox joined Thunderbird Resorts in 2003 as financial manager of the Company’s Costa Rican operations. Mr. Fox is responsible for the overall financial plans and accounting practices of the company, the financial and accounting system controls and standards, and assists in the development of new operations. He implemented the Thunderbird Resorts standards and managed the construction of the company’s flagship Costa Rican property in late 2004-2005.

Michael Fox has over 25 years of business experience including 12 years as the Controller and CFO of a NASDAQ-traded, multinational entity.

In addition to the corporate executives, Thunderbird Resorts has in-house specialists who provide expertise in a wide variety of functions: casino management, thematic design, facilities management, finance, performing arts production, regulatory compliance, hotel management, food & beverage management, international law, and budget variance analysis - all contributing to the success of the Company.
