Thunderbird Resorts Inc. is a holding company that invests in its operating subsidiaries. The operating subsidiaries' mission is “to be the most successful recreational property developer and operator in each of our markets by creating genuine value for the community, its employees and shareholders.”

In 1997, Thunderbird, through its subsidiaries, took a first step into the Latin American resort and gaming market with the launch of a gaming facility in the Camino Real Hotel in Guatemala. In just a few short years, Thunderbird's subsidiary operations have become one of the fastest growing businesses in the region by offering customers dynamic, themed and integrated resort venues anchored by casinos.

In just a decade, Thunderbird Resorts has made great strides in successfully developing new business opportunities while experiencing substantial growth:

• Established dynamic, themed, and integrated resort venues anchored by a total of 24 gaming and casino businesses in five countries: Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and the Philippines.
• Collectively, Thunderbird Resorts offers 3,800 slot machines, and 1,300 table positions.
• Market share leader in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala.
• The Fiesta Casino at the El Panama Hotel is now one of the largest revenue producing casinos in Latin America.
• Two operations have been opened in the Philippines which will serve as a platform to the entire Southeast Asian market.
• Successful development of non-gaming entertainment businesses. Eight bars collectively serve over 10,000 beverages per day.  The first restaurant within the company serves 15,000 meals a month. The Performing Arts division has produced dancing and musical shows drawing worldwide talent.
• There are over 4,500 international employees within Thunderbird Resorts subsidiaries and affiliate companies.

Thunderbird Resorts Operations & Financial Management

Thunderbird’s businesses operate with very strict standards of internal controls and accountability. Each property has implemented the same standards to ensure efficiency, productivity, and consistency in security of assets and protection against theft.

Thunderbird Resorts has activated high-impact casino environments, technology-based resort operating and customer service solutions, and precise, transparent fiscal controls. Additionally, we have implemented financial systems that offer country-level accounting with budget variance reporting at the property and country level, as well as daily revenue reporting for each of the 24 operations are intact with integrity.

Some of the technology applications used for optimum operations by Thunderbird Resorts include digital surveillance, online slot security systems, online inventory control, and cash management systems. What is more, the Company’s Internal Control Standards are modeled after the Nevada Gaming Commission standards that are required for the Las Vegas casinos. All systems are centralized within Thunderbird’s operations office. These systems employ state-of-the-art communications equipment and are utilized in all facilities.
